    Fun run marks school’s anniversary

    Seri Mulia Sarjana International School (SMSIS) yesterday held a Fun Run event at Jerudong Park Garden to mark its 25th anniversary.

    Themed ‘Kids Dash 2.0’, the event set out to harness the energy and engagement of the growing SMSIS community’s past and present affiliates.

    Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Cambodia in Brunei Darussalam Yen Samnang, as the representative for the Ambassador of Cambodia to Brunei Darussalam Lim Hokseng, was among the attendees.

    The day saw a presentation of a mock cheque amounting to BND2,031.22 to Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans (DANA), presented by SMSIS founder and Chief Executive Officer Dr Mary Lim to Acting Assistant Managing Director of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Samsudin bin Haji Puasa, as representative for DANA.

    Among the activities lined up for the day were two-kilometre (km) and three km runs as well as a performance by the Drum and Lyre Club. – Rokiah Mahmud
