Jerudong International School (JIS) hosted Netball Funday on Sunday, where teams from across the Sultanate competed at the JIS campus, representing their schools or clubs across different age categories: U10, U11, U13, U15 and U19. Alongside several teams from JIS, participants came from COT Belait, DES School, Hornbill School, International School Brunei, Panaga School, Rimba Secondary School, Panaga Primary School and Seri Mulia Sarjana School.
The event also featured numerous arts and handicrafts from local artisans selling products such as handcrafted accessories, home decorations and artwork.
JIS students operated several stalls to raise funds for official school initiatives, such as the Borneo Project.
JIS Head of Physical Education and Sport Hasim Khan, said “JIS was thrilled to host an exciting event that united sports women from across Brunei who are passionate about netball. “Netball Funday allows participants to showcase their netball skills in a friendly environment, with enjoyment at the forefront of the day.”
