The first school term for the 2023 academic year for government and private primary, secondary, colleges and sixth form centres under the purview of the Ministry of Education, as well as religious and Arabic schools under the Ministry of Religious Affairs, officially commenced yesterday.
Pengiran Anak Puteri Besar Sungai Kebun Primary School students were welcomed to the new school year with a host of fun activities.
“This year, we went with the theme of fun hats made from recycled materials,” said the school’s assistant principal Liah binti Haji Badar.
She added that as part of the activities, students were divided into groups, each led by a teacher. Apart from organising these fun activities to get students excited about the new school year, games have also been crafted to spark interest by making use of their knowledge on various subjects such as maths, science and MIB,” Liah said.
She shared that this year, the school is welcoming a total of 387 Year 1 to Year 6 students.
