Belait Arabic School (SAB) organised EMS-zing Day to mark the World Book Day recently. EMS is acronym for English, mathematics and science.
The event saw students joining activities related to the subjects at the school’s multi-purpose area.
EMS-zing Day began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah led by Muhammad Fadhli Danial bin Fariz Surnaidi.
It continued with a speech from Acting Headmistress Pengiran Hajah Masniah @ Noramalina binti Pengiran Hussin followed by a parade of students and teachers dressed in different costumes.
Among the activities were Sci-Math Mini Fair, adopt-a-book and reading hour at booths.
There was also a talk by Medical Superintendent at the National Isolation Centre at Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Hospital Pengiran Dr Noor Afizan binti Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman.
The event was aimed at improving the students’ communication skills while encouraging creative and critical thinking. It also served to inspire them to use their English, mathematics and science knowledge to solve problems.
