(ANN/KOREA HERALD) — FT Island is set to kick off their “2024 FT Island Live ‘Hey Day’ in Asia” tour this month, marking an exciting opportunity for the band to connect with their international fanbase.
The tour commences in Macao on Jan 27, followed by vibrant cities such as Bangkok, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Jakarta, and Singapore, as announced by FNC Entertainment.
Notably, tickets for the Taipei and Kuala Lumpur shows have already sold out, underscoring the band’s enduring popularity.
FNC Entertainment revealed that the setlist for the tour will feature a special solo drum performance by the band’s drummer, Choi Min-hwan, adding an extra layer of excitement for fans.
This Asian tour follows closely on the heels of the band’s year-end concert, “FTSODE,” held in Seoul on Dec 30-31.
Lee Hong-gi expressed the band’s commitment to annual concerts, and he hinted at upcoming projects, including an album release in Japan and new YouTube content.
FT Island’s most recent album, their ninth EP titled “Sage,” was released in September of the previous year.
Originally debuting in 2007 as a five-member band, the current lineup comprises three members: main vocalist Lee Hong-gi, bassist Lee Jae-jin, and drummer Choi Min-hwan. Former guitarist Song Seung-hyun pursued an acting career after leaving the band in 2019, while former leader Choi Jong-hoon was removed from the group in 2020 due to a sex crime conviction.
