The Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) Library in Kampong Pandan was abuzz with activity as students and the public flocked to participate in its Mesra Perpustakaan (Friendly Library) programme yesterday.
The programme served to attract and encourage residents to visit the library and improve their literacy through the activities which included a reading contest and promoting library membership to gain access to the library’s literature collection.
Six booths were also set up by the library and local entrepreneurs offering games and products.
