The national men’s basketball team is looking to make a good run in the Borneo Intercity Basketball tournament in Labuan from April 28 to 30.
Head coach Ben Sim said, “We hope to make a good run with our youth-heavy outfit, including the youngest debutant at age 16. We’re looking towards a new start for the national team.”
The team comprises Jaden Chen Vui Syn, Wong Lih Shean, William Ching Wei Ren, Glen Chong Yun Shing, Jaron On Jiew Ren, Ahmad Termizi Nordin, Devon Lim Yih Shyang, Jonathan Lim Seng Wei, Jeremy Chi Zhi Juan, Darren Lee Kang Hong, Masduqi Hussin, Shahrun Zulkifli, Chang Yung Ken, Chai Tze Kiong and Haji Ahmed Alfariq bin Bahrom Afeedy.
“The team is as prepared as it can be with the short amount of time we have. We are still a new team, but we are excited to see how we fare in the competition,” Sim said.
