Guests and visitors arriving at Chung Hwa Middle School Bandar Seri Begawan (CHMS BSB) which marks its 100th anniversary today, will be greeted by freshly painted buildings thanks to the sponsorship from Akzo Nobel Paints (Singapore) Pte Ltd.
The painting was done in phases, covering nine months.
Akzo Nobel Paint Marketing Director Anna Chng who visited CHMS BSB in July was given a tour by Chairman of CHMS BSB Board of Directors Ong Tiong Oh, Principal Kho Guik Lan, Deputy Principal Beh Hai Yau and Assistant Principal Sim Man Ling.
Ong expressing gratitude to Akzo Nobel Paint, said the dedication and generosity is a good example for the local community.
A statement from CHMS BSB said providing a 100 years of education is no easy task and the school received public support as well. The school said the generosity and support will not be forgotten.
Under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, government policies and efforts by the school’s pioneers, CHMS BSB has garnered achievements and recognition from the public, the statement added.
