Free WiFi at hospital wards will benefit patients, carers

I was recently waiting to see the doctor at a public hospital when it occurred to me that it would make the wait more bearable if there was a free WiFi service. While I don’t expect to see its implementation across the hospital premises, it would be good if it is at least available at the wards, to provide patients and their carers some form of entertainment.

With us living in a digital era, free WiFi is growing more ubiquitous in the country, with restaurants using it to attract customers to stick around longer. Perhaps it is high time to consider such a service at the hospital, where in-patients tend to suffer boredom between tests and meals.
