The Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) organised a recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil ceremony for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman, the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and for His Majesty’s late son Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim at the Royal Mausoleum, Jalan Tutong yesterday in conjunction with FRD’s 64th anniversary.
Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman was the guest of honour.
Around 150 FRD personnel including the FRD acting director and acting deputy director attended the ceremony.
University Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Head of Alumni Affairs Haji Mohammad Khairul Nazif bin Haji Awang Damit led the recitation of Surah Yaasiin, Tahlil and Doa Arwah.
Permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, ministry department heads as well as village heads and penghulu mukim were also in attendance. – James Kon
