Four participants who have completed the ‘Street Art Haircut’ skills course of the Youth Development Centre (PPB) received their certificates on Saturday.
The course was conducted from October 24, 2022, to February, 28, 2023.
PPB Assistant Director Haswandi bin Haji Osman handed certificates to the recipients at the PPB’s Ibnu Sina Meeting Room.
The programme aims to provide skills, knowledge and understanding on being a barber, especially among men.
Three recruitment sessions have been implemented since 2020, with nine participants completing the course and obtaining employment.
The third ‘Street Art Haircut’ course was conducted by experienced instructor Abdul Wafi Syazwan bin Supri.
Participants underwent a two-month work placement programme at the Street82 Enterprise Company, with two receiving job offers.
Recruitment for the fourth course will begin in August. – Azlan Othman
