Fostering ties through religious event

Members of the Muslimah Affairs Division at the Mosque Affairs Department, together with Kampong Sungai Liang Mosque Takmir Committee organised a Jalinan Ukhuwah programme to mark Hari Raya Aidilfitri at the mosque recently.

Spouse of the Minister of Religious Affairs Datin Hajah Nahriah binti Haji Asbi was the guest of honour, joined by spouse of the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Datin Hajah Jamaiah binti Haji Abdul Manaf, spouse of the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Hajah Siti Norishan binti Haji Gapor, and spouse of the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the MoRA Hajah Azizah binti Mohammad.

Muslimah Guidance Class facilitators from Belait District and Muslimah group members from Tutong and Brunei-Muara districts were also in attendance.

The event began with the recitation of verses of Al-Quran, followed by the mass recitation of Selawat Ibrahimiyah led by the guest of honour.

The event also featured performances such as Suara Takbir led by the Muslimah guidance class facilitator from the Tutong District, Selawat Tafrijiyyah led by Hajah Norjainah binti Haji Buntar from Brunei-Muara District’s Muslimah class, a poem titled Keyakinanku by Norsinah binti Haji Hussin, and Selawat Badriyah.

The programme concluded with the recitation of Doa Selamat and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam, led by Kampong Sungai Liang Mosque Imam Zulhilmi bin Mohd Jefri.

The programme aimed to promote the knowledge and skills of delivering dakwah through songs and the recital of Islamic poetry while strengthening ties among Muslimah class facilitators across the Sultanate.
