The National Anti-Drug Association (BASMIDA) recently held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony at the Al-Muhtadee Billah Mosque in Kampong Sungai Kebun.

BASMIDA President Datin Hajah Masni binti Haji Mohd Ali shared that the event aimed to get its members acquainted with preventive drug education (PDE).

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, led by Hajah Kasmah binti Haji Hashim, followed with the recitation of Surah Adh-Dhuha to Surah An-Nas by the members.

It then proceeded with the recitation of Takhtim by the Muslimah group while Doa Khatam was read by Head of the Muslimah group Azniseryanie binti Haji Isa.

To bless the ceremony, a Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam was read by Siti Nurzuriati Zhafirah binti Haji Wahid.

The event also served to motivate BASMIDA members to engage in voluntary work and contribute to the objectives of the association.
