The Information Department, through its Nationalism Unit and Strategic Communications Division, held an ‘Our Ruler, Appreciate the Flag and National Anthem of Brunei Darussalam’ briefing at Sayyidina Husain Secondary School in Jerudong, Rimba 1 Secondary School and Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Secondary School in the Belait District recently.
The briefing included the procedure for hoisting the national flag and the history of ‘Allah Peliharakan Sultan’ national anthem.
The event concluded with the presentation of prizes to the winners of the national quiz conducted by the Information Department.
The briefings were part of an ongoing effort to instill a sense of loyalty for the monarch, religion and the nation. It also aims to strengthen the spirit of solidarity and patriotism among students. – Azlan Othman & Rokiah Mahmud
