The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) in collaboration with the Institute for Leadership, Innovation and Advancement (ILIA), Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) held the opening ceremony for the 4th RBPF Executive Development Programme for Middle Management Officers 2024 on Thursday.

ILIA Director Dr Asiyah Az-Zahra binti Ahmad Kumpoh said this year’s programme will be equipped with new modules, such as media management and community outreach programmes.

“In addition, several special topics will also be highlighted, such as leadership from the perspective of Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB), integrity in law enforcement, disaster incident management, cyber security and modern policing,” she said.

The nine-week programme aims to develop the skills of RBPF officers and hopes participants will build relationships and professional networks with the members of various enforcement agencies invited, opening up opportunities for future cooperation and collaboration.

Fifteen RBPF senior officers and five senior officers from the Immigration and National Registration Department, the Internal Security Department, the Royal Customs and Excise Department, the Narcotics Control Bureau and Religious Enforcement Division under the Ministry of Religious Affairs are participating in the programme.

Commissioner of RBPF Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali was the guest of honour.
