Forum highlights need for national approach to address youth burnout

A national approach should be taken to address burnout among youth to ensure appropriate efforts are carried out, said assistant professor at the Centre for the Promotion of Knowledge and Language of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali Dr Hajah Ummi Fa’izah binti Haji Abdul Rahman as the national mosque youth mentor and a panel member of the forum on overcoming burnout at Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque in Kampong Sengkurong yesterday.

The forum, organised by the Syababul Iman Group and Sultan Sharif Ali Takmir Mosque Committee, saw some 50 youth participating to understand the various symptoms of burnout to help them navigate today’s complex life more calmly and effectively, with guidance from Allah the Almighty.

The forum saw discussions on the definition and causes of burnout, as well as tips on time and emotional management as precautionary measures.

Head of Youth Development Unit, National Youth Mosque Muhammad Shair bin Haji Samsudin and forum moderator of As-Syahadah Muallaf Youth Deputy Chairman Nurul Huda binti Mohammad Ashraf also offered their expertise.  – Rokiah Mahmud
