A forum aimed at inculcating and strengthening youth with the values and beliefs contained in the National Constitution and the Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB) philosophy was held at Pengiran Anak Puteri Muta-Wakkilah Hayatul Bolkiah Religious School’s multipurpose hall on Sunday.
It was held in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 78th birthday celebration. The forum, themed ‘Youth of the Hope of the Ruler and the Nation’, was organised by the executive committee members of mosque youth groups nationwide, Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque takmir committee members in Kampong Serusop and the Mosque Affairs Department’s Mosque Youth Affairs Division.
The forum also aimed to educate youth to obey Allah the Almighty, be loyal to the ruler and love the country, as well as to cultivate visionary youth who contribute to the country’s development and inspire them to become pillars of hope for the nation and religion.
Acting Director of Mosque Affairs Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri was the guest of honour.
Mosque Youth Executive Committee member Mohammad Farhan @ Mohammad Ali bin Alim chaired the forum. Fiqh Al-Usrah Research Centre, Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan assistant lecturer Hilman bin Haji Salim and assistant professor at the Centre for promotion of Knowledge and Language at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali Dr Hajah Ummi Fa’izah binti Haji Abdul Rahman were the panel members. – Azlan Othman
