A 30-year-old foreign woman allegedly involved in offering sexual services was detained by the Gambling Suppression and Anti-Vice Unit personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) on June 20.
An operation conducted in a rented room in Berakas led to the discovery of cash, condoms, lubricants and mobile phones, the RBPF stated.
The suspect and evidence were brought to the department for investigation.
The suspect is being investigated under Section 294A, Chapter 22 of the Criminal Procedure Code for offering sexual services.
The RBPF will continue to monitor, gather intelligence and take action to curb criminal activities in the country.
