The new Suzuki Grand Vitara was officially launched at a roadshow at The Mall, Gadong yesterday.
BIBD At-Tamwil Berhad Marketing Manager Asharol bin Noshari Kamaludin and Boustead Sdn Bhd Executive Manager Lim Jin Lee, Marketing Manager Adehelmie bin Jaafar and Sales Manager Wang Kah Choon launched the new Suzuki Grand Vitara.
The latest SUV from Suzuki features advanced technology, enhanced safety features, and a sleek design appealing to both adventure enthusiasts and urban drivers.
The new design stands out with a large polygonal front grille in a finely crafted pattern, a bold chrome grille bar and unique three-point signature lamps. The strong shoulder lines that run from the front to the rear add to its rugged persona.
The spacious and comfy interior comes with a seven-inch Display Audio featuring smartphone linkage for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto through USB or Wi-Fi, voice recognition, Bluetooth music playback and showing various vehicle statuses. There is also a customisation function to set often-used functions on the home screen and quick-access hub. Meanwhile the K15B Dualjet, a 1.5-litre engine, delivers high efficiency, low emissions, strong output and torque.
Dual fuel injectors are placed close to the intake valves and the compression ratio is raised for efficient fuel combustion. The combustion temperatures are lowered and pumping loss is reduced by the cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system, and adoption of roller rocker arms for valve lifters reduces frictional speed.
The four-speed automatic transmission is optimised for the best balance of performance and efficiency. A straight-type shift pattern is adopted for the automatic transmission for operation.
For safety, the car is equipped with front and side airbags to reduce impact to the chest in case of a side collision while curtain airbags reduce impact to the head.
The Electronic Stability programme can detect a wheel slip and helps drivers stay in directional control by automatically controlling the engine torque and brakes to suppress the wheel slip.
