The imagine Football Fiesta is more than just organising a football match; it aims to support the closing of gaps in sustainability goals and further promotion of a sense of community.
This was said by imagine Sdn Bhd Chairperson Noorsurainah binti Haji Tengah in a welcoming speech at the welcoming dinner reception for the English Premiere League (EPL) Legends at Indera Samudra Grand Hall, The Empire Brunei yesterday.
“In a world where we see a rise in extremism, isolation and violence, we hope (that) through this small effort, we would have managed to bring everyone together through our love for football as a sport that unites our nation,” she said.
The chairperson also extended gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Deputy Sultan and Chairman of DPMM FC, for the “unwavering support of the imagine Football Fiesta” and for being an inspiration through His Royal Highness’ “passionate advocacy for local football development”.
