Members of the public are encouraged to donate usable futsal or football boots in wearable condition for the underprivileged through donation boxes located in all four districts under the Boots4Roots project. The collection period will end on November 15.
A recent presentation of the Boots4Roots project poster to Projek Ikan Pusu (PIP) served as part of an awareness campaign to encourage grassroots academies to support the initiative.
The project is spearheaded by Malam Minggu Pusat Belia (MMPB) in collaboration with the Department of Youth and Sports (JBS) in the Tutong District.
MMPB president Hajah Noor Monasalieana @ Suzie binti Haji Mohd Salleh presented the project poster to PIP at the futsal court in Kampong Mulaut.
Donations collected through the initiative will be handed over during the ‘Day of Action 2024’ launch event in December.
Donation boxes are located at Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium Office, JBS Sports Complex in Temburong District, JBS Sports Complex in Tutong District and Mumong Sports Complex in Belait District. – James Kon
