The Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) concluded its 9th FABD Congress yesterday and elected its new president, Haji Feisal bin Haji Eusoff Patail, who received a majority of the votes.
Haji Feisal, the team manager of Brunei’s national squad for the 5th Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy for ASEAN Youth Football Championship in 2014, said he is looking forward to take Brunei football to new heights.
He received 16 votes from a total of 24 votes to win the election against other nominees.
Former president Pengiran Haji Matusin bin Pengiran Haji Matasan, contesting for a second term received two votes. Meanwhile, Haji Mahrub bin Haji Murni was elected as the deputy president of the national football governing body.
The new executive committee members also include four female members – Aiminorhiza binti Ramlee @ Aimi, Pengiran Jamilah binti Pengiran Haji Zainin, Hajah Noor Monasaliena @ Suzie and Julyani binti Haji Mohammad.
The other executive members elected were Pengiran Haji Kamarunsalehin bin Pengiran Haji Khamis, Mohammad Sofrin bin Haji Serudin, Mohd Redzuan bin Haji Sulaiman, Pengiran Haji Jufry bin Pengiran Haji Jaludin, Pengiran Haji Muhd Waslimin bin Pengiran Setia Jaya Pengiran Haji Abdul Momin and Reimy Alak. – James Kon
