The Young Entrepreneurs Association of Brunei (YEAB) and Baiduri Bank co-hosted their first ever Power Coffee event, with focus on small-scale exporting.
The event took place on September 29 at the Enterprise Hub at the Baiduri Serusop Branch.
Founder of Tyne Solutions and Vice President of YEAB Aimi Ramlee facilitated the event.
Also in attendance was founder of Optimus MGMT Rabbani Mubarak who shared his insights, fostering a dynamic environment for networking, learning, and innovation.
The event delivered a positive impact empowering small-scale businesses with the knowledge and tools necessary to excel in the global market. The next YEAB x Baiduri Power Coffee is estimated to be held tentatively on November 3, focusing on Legacy Businesses. Meanwhile YEAB participated in the ‘First Council Meeting of the International Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs Associations (IAYEA)’. The event took place from September 23 to 27 in Zhongshan, Guangdong Province, China.
At the council meeting, YEAB was represented by its President and Secretary Goh Chai Li and Awangku Abdul Azim bin Pengiran Yusof.
The event aimed to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the promotion of youth entrepreneurship on a global scale.
The President of YEAB delivered a speech whereby she emphasised the importance of global cooperation for Brunei’s sustainable development.
She highlighted the nation’s alignment with like-minded countries, including participation in the Group of Friends of Global Development Initiative, as a key strategy to amplify impact and achieve common goals. Cooperation, rather than competition, was presented as the way forward to address global challenges effectively.
“At YEAB, we are thrilled to be part of this international gathering of young entrepreneurs and associations. It presents a unique opportunity to share our experiences, learn from our peers, and strengthen our commitment to fostering entrepreneurship in Brunei,” said Goh Chai Li.
The council meeting discussed the future direction of IAYEA and built a platform for members of IAYEA to conduct economic and trade negotiations with enterprises.
