One hundred and thirty-five Indian nationals left the country yesterday on a Royal Brunei Airlines flight chartered by the High Commission of India in Brunei Darussalam, bound for Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh in India.
Since July 2020, the Indian High Commission has facilitated the repatriation of 2,506 Indian nationals through Chartered Flights.
This was the first flight from Brunei to Varanasi. Earlier, 17 flights have been operated on Brunei-Coimbatore-Brunei sector.
The departing passengers were seen off at the airport by the Officials of the Mission.
