The Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA), in collaboration with Persatuan Kereta Tahan Lasak Brunei (PKTLB), donated to 20 flood-affected families in Kampong Benutan, Tutong District at Kampong Benutan Mosque yesterday.
The initiative aimed to assist and help ease the burden of the natural disaster victims. The hand over by 12 PKTLB volunteers and seven SHENA staff of basic household necessities was received by representatives of the affected families.
The donation was aligned with the World Day for Safety and Health at Work’s theme of recognising the impacts of climate change on occupational safety and health, underscoring the agency’s commitment to the welfare and safety of the Sultanate’s citizens during natural disasters, such as floods, and its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) with the aim to improve social welfare of the community based on the pillars of Maqasid Syariah.
