Five families in Belait District received donations from Brunei Gas Carriers Sdn Bhd (BGC) as part of its ninth instalment of Project Amali yesterday. Leading the contingent was Managing Director Captain Abdul Mateen Abdurrahman Liew accompanied by members of the BGC Management team and volunteers. Acting Penghulu of Mukim Labi and Village Head of Kampong Labi 1 Hanapi bin Mohd Siput welcomed the delegation.
Captain Abdul Mateen said he is thankful that BGC was able to contribute and lend a helping hand to families from the Labi community.
He also hoped that the donation of food provisions and essential items, will help the families improve their well-being.
He was also grateful for the support from the Community Development Department (JAPEM) and Acting Penghulu of Mukim Labi. The annual company’s visit helps lessen the burden of those in need and one of BGC’s Social Investment initiatives.
