Yesterday night saw the first rehearsal for the procession in the capital as part of the royal wedding ceremony between His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen and Yang Mulia Dayang Anisha Rosnah binti Adam.
Present to oversee the rehearsal were Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof; Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar; Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah and Deputy Minister (Civil Service Governance) at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Paduka Mohd Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos.
The roads affected by the rehearsal are: Jalan Haji Basir’s junctions with Jalan Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien (SOAS); Jalan Simpang’s junction with Jalan Padang; Jalan SOAS’ junction with Jalan Dato Taib; Jalan Tasik’s junction with Jalan Pehin Dato Isa; Jalan SOAS’ junction with Jalan Stoney; Jalan
Kianggeh’s junction with Jalan Bendahara; Jalan SOAS’ junction with Jalan Bendahara; Jalan Kianggeh’s junction with Jalan Elizabeth II, Jalan SOAS junction with Jalan Elizabeth II; Jalan Kianggeh’s junction with Jalan Pemancha; Jalan Kianggeh’s junction with Jalan Cator; Jalan Kianggeh’s junction with Jalan McArthur; Jalan McArthur’s junction with Jalan Pretty; Jalan Masjid SOAS’ junction with Jalan Elizabeth II; and the exit junction along Jalan Stoney.
The next two rehearsals are set to be held on January 5 at 7pm and on January 6 at 8am. – James Kon
