Operation Branch ‘D’ of the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) held a fire drill exercise at Kampong Burung Pingai Ayer to raise the firefighters’ preparedness and capabilites on Tuesday.
Nine firefighters from Sungai Kebun Fire Station led by DSO Haji Othman bin Matusoff participated in the fire drill, according to the FRD.
The exercise included extinguishing a fire and testing the firefighters’ equipment such as portable pumps and fire hydrants in the area to ensure they are in good condition and can be used during an emergency.
Commander of Operation ‘D’ Branch Senior Superintendent Muhd Shahreeni bin Haji Muhd Yussof and Deputy Commander Superintendent Mohammad Sophian bin Haji Mohd Yusuff were present.
