Firefighters cleared a fallen tree measuring 10 metres long blocking parts of the road accessing a house in Jalan Batang Duri, Kampong Selangan in Temburong District. No injuries were reported.
Five firefighters from Rataie Fire Station led by ABKS 335 Roslan bin Haji Moksin responded to the incident after a report was received at 8.56am, according to the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD). Station Commander of Rataie Fire Station Acting DSO Adanan bin Salat was also present.
The FRD reminded the public to be alert of falling trees, especially during unpredictable weather conditions; avoid planting trees too close to homes; avoid parking vehicles close to trees; and trim tree branches regularly. The public can contact 995 during an emergency.
