Some 450 students and staff from Hassanal Bolkiah Boys Arabic Secondary School (SMALHB) participated in a fire safety briefing organised by the Operation ‘A’ Branch, Public Relations Division of the Fire and Rescue Department at the school recently.
Acting principal Hajah Hamdiah binti Haji Salleh, as well as the deputy principal and senior teachers were among those present.
The briefing was held to increase awareness on the dangers of fire to those in the school, aside from instilling a sense of responsibility towards fire safety.
A building evacuation training is carried out twice a year to ensure effective and systematic procedures.
