International Officer for Southeast Asia from the University of Birmingham Alexa Haslam conducted a free presentation at the Findlay office in Gadong at 4.30pm yesterday for prospective students and their parents keen to find out more about studying at the university.
The University of Birmingham is a member of the prestigious Russell Group and ranks 90th in the QS World Rankings 2022, Findlay education services said in a press release.
Its global reputation is well earned; not only does the university welcome 10,000 students from 150 countries annually, it is the first of the Russell Group universities to establish a campus in Dubai.
Parents and students will be encouraged to hear that leading graduate employability reports such as the High Fliers report in the Graduate Market in 2021 and 2022 showed Birmingham graduates to be among the most sought after by top employers.
The university is located on a beautiful, tranquil 260-acre campus in a leafy suburb of Birmingham. It is the only university in the United Kingdom to have its own train station, where an eight-minute ride brings students into the heart of Birmingham city.
Many developments are planned as part of a 10-year GBP600 million transformation of the campus – one of which is the new GBP46.5 million School of Engineering that opened in 2021, bringing engineering disciplines together in over 12,000 square metres of contemporary and flexible space.
