Six families who were victims of a flood in December last year and a family whose house was ravaged by fire this month received financial assistance from the government through the Community Development Department (JAPEM) yesterday.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin handed over the financial assistance during a ceremony at Citra Budaya Hall.
Six houses in Kampong Junjongan were flooded due to heavy downpours last December 4 to 8 and a house fire occurred in Kampong Mentiri on January 9 at 12.50pm.
