The Community Development Department (JAPEM) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) handed over financial assistance to a fire victim yesterday.
The financial assistance was from funds allocated under JAPEM by the Government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. The ceremony was held at the ministry’s building in Jalan Kebangsaan.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad presented the donation to Pengiran Hajah Maslina binti Pengiran Haji Eithed whose residence at RPN Kampong Lumut, Belait District was gutted by fire on June 9.
The assistance was aimed at easing Pengiran Hajah Maslina’s financial burden.
