Thirty-eight families affected by recent fire, house collapse and strong wind incidents received financial assistance from Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah yesterday. The ceremony took place at the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex in Bandar Seri Begawan.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad as member of the Yayasan Board of Directors and Chairman of the Yayasan Aid Review Committee distributed the financial aid totalling BND38,050.
The aid was allocated to assist families affected by a fire incident, two collapsed houses and 35 instances of damage caused by strong winds.
Permanent Secretary (Planning, Land Use and Environment) at the Ministry of Development Dr Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak was present as Acting Managing Director of Yayasan. – James Kon
