The final round of the National Musabaqah Al-Qur’an Reading for Adults 1446H will take place over three consecutive nights from April 22 to 24 at the Plenary Hall, International Convention Centre in Berakas.
The competition final is scheduled to begin at 7.15pm on Tuesday night, Wednesday night, and Thursday night.
Seven Qari and six Qariah will be competing in the national-level competition.
Representing the Qari are Pengiran Muhammad Amirul Aiman bin Pengiran Haji Marjuki, Awangku Adi Nazri bin Pengiran Haji Jofri, Ahmad Zulwagar bin Haji Suhaili, Awang Haji Hazwan bin Haji Salim, Awang Abdul Qawiyyel Azeez bin Haji Abd Rajid and Awang Haji Nasrul Fakhri bin Haji Yahya.
Meanwhile, the Qariah participants are Dayangku Siti Ummi Syazana binti Pengiran Haji Marjuki, Dayang Amal Nazirah binti Haji Asmat, Dayangku Alya Syahirah binti Pengiran Haji Jofri, Dayangku Amal Zahirah binti Pengiran Haji Jofri, Dayang Nur Rodaah binti Haji Asmat and Dayangku Alma Hazirah binti Pengiran Haji Jofri.
This year’s Musabaqah carries the theme “Bersama Dengan Al-Qur’an” and is jointly organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, and Brunei Shell Marketing Company Sdn Bhd.
The event aims to inspire the nation through the teachings and blessings of the Holy Quran and to cultivate a deeper appreciation for its recitation. – Fadley Faisal
