Thirty-seven-year old Filipino man, Raymond Staana Turallo embraced Islam as his new faith during a ceremony at Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque in Kampong Serusop, Brunei-Muara District.
Raymond, now known as Muhammad Rayyan bin Abdullah, was guided by officers from the Da’wah Development Division of the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) at the event. The mosque’s imam Haji Asminan bin Haji Chuchu as well as the congregation witnessed the conversion ceremony.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Sayyidul Istighfar followed by the recitation of Syahadah by the new convert.
The event was enlivened with a Dikir Marhaban before concluding with a Doa Selamat. – Lyna Mohamad
