Festivities continue across the Sultanate

Standard Chartered Bank

Standard Chartered Bank Brunei held an open house to celebrate Hari Raya at Tarindak D’Seni in the capital yesterday.

Over 600 guests, comprising senior government officials, partners and clients participated.

Standard Chartered Brunei Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Pengiran Aki Ismasufian bin Pengiran Haji Ibrahim along with Cluster CEO of Standard Chartered Indonesia and ASEAN Markets Rino Donosepoetro and senior members of the management team welcomed guests to the event. Pengiran Aki Ismasufian said; “Alhamdulillah, we are delighted to be able to celebrate Aidilfitri with our clients and stakeholders once again. We are humbled by the tremendous support and trust that we receive.”

“We look forward to connecting with our clients and key stakeholders through events such as these which gives us the opportunity to reconnect and deepen connections,” he added. – Adib Noor

Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam

Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) hosted another Hari Raya gathering at the Grand Ballroom at V Plaza Hotel in the Belait District yesterday.

Over 500 guests, comprising representatives from the public sector and businesses, and public figures attended the festivities.

The bank conducted a similar celebration in the Brunei-Muara District, at the Indera Samudra Grand Hall, The Empire Brunei on April 25. – Daniel Lim

Mustaqim Travel and Tours Sdn Bhd

Mustaqim Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd hosted a Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration at Mahligai Al-Barakah Ballroom at Mid valley Shopping Centre with its congregants of 2023 and 2024 on Friday.

Abdul Razak Holdings

Abdul Razak Holdings (ARH) held a Hari Raya open house at The Rizqun International Hotel in Gadong yesterday.

ARH Director Haji Suhaimei bin Haji Besar attended the event along with management and staff of ARH and its subsidiaries.

ARH Head of Human Resources and Security Pengiran Haji Manshor bin Pengiran Haji Jaya opened the event with welcoming remarks, followed by a speech from Haji Suhaimei on the updates to the administration and management of ARH.

PERBEKAL

The Kampong Lambak Youth Association (PERBEKAL) held its annual Hari Raya celebration at a restaurant in Jalan Muara on Sunday.

PERBEKAL President Pengiran Haji Nordin bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud was the guest of honour.

Event chairperson Pengiran Mahari bin Pengiran Haji Md Tahir kicked off the event with welcoming remarks, followed by a speech from the women bureau’s vice president Siti Seriana binti Haji Mohd Yusof.

The celebration featured several activities, such as a mind test, a poetry performance, solo and group performances, and a lucky draw, Kampong Lambak ‘B’ village head Pengiran Jofri bin Pengiran Haji Zaidi and PERBEKAL vice president II Pengiran Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Haji Md Tahir were also present. – Lyna Mohamad

Brunei Fertilizer Industries Sdn Bhd and Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd

Brunei Fertilizer Industries Sdn Bhd (BFI) and Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd (BMC) jointly hosted a Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration at the multipurpose hall of SPARK Centre in Sungai Liang, Belait District yesterday.

Legislative Council (LegCo) members Yang Berhormat Haji Mohd Salleh bin Haji Othman as Mukim Bukit Sawat penghulu and Yang Berhormat Mohammad bin Abdullah @ Lim Swee Ann as Kampong Bukit Sawat village head, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Trade and Industry) at the Ministry of Finance and Economy Mohammad Harris bin Brigadier General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, members of the diplomatic corps, industry stakeholders, business partners and members of the Lumut-Liang community were among the attendees.

BFI Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Harri Kiiski and BMC CEO Jesús Enrique Mora Marín welcomed the guests. As part of the festivities, BFI and BMC distributed tokens of support raised by their personnel to students of Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam in the Belait District and the underprivileged in Kampong Sungai Liang. The contributions were part of BFI’s annual ‘Project Amal Silaturrahim’ and BMC’s efforts to support the well-being of the community through its #RESPECT corporate social responsibility initiative.

Complementing the festivities was an exhibition showcasing the companies’ achievements and contributions to the Sultanate’s economic landscape. – Daniel Lim
