Thirty-one underprivileged children from 10 families across the nation marked the Year of the Rabbit with donations and gifts as Best Integrated Engineer Solution and Supplies Sdn Bhd (BEST Sdn Bhd) hosted a Chinese New Year (CNY) gathering and celebration yesterday.
The event was held at the compound of the company’s building at the Kuala Belait Light Industrial Area.
BEST Sdn Bhd Managing Director Felicia Yong Siaw Nee welcomed the guests who were accompanied by their parents and guardians.
BEST Sdn Bhd Managing Director Felicia Yong said that in addition to the entertainment and festive dishes, necessities and donations were handed to the children.
“The company hopes that this assistance will reduce the family’s financial burdens and fulfil the children’s school needs,” Felicia said.
She also expressed thanks to Halwun Rezqin and its representatives.
The managing director along with the company’s Sales Director Danny Yong presented the donations to the children. Several handmade gifts by the organisation were also presented to Halwun Rezqin representative Normarkartina binti Hassem as a token of appreciation for their kind contribution to the event.
This year’s celebration also marks another memorable milestone for the company as it has been three years since the company moved to a new building which was also officiated during 2020’s CNY, the managing director said. The local non-governmental organisation aims to support the communities in need through donations or Infaq, whom the company has worked closely with to bring together these children to attend and celebrate the festive occasion.
