    Farewell visit from Malaysian Chief of Defence Force

    The Ministry of Defence of Brunei Darussalam on Wednesday received a farewell visit from Chief of Defence Force of the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) General Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Panglima Mohammad bin Ab. Rahman. 

    Upon arrival at Bolkiah Garrison, General Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Panglima Mohammad was greeted by Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, and received a General Salute from the Guard of Honour mounted by personnel from the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF).

    Following the formalities, Chief of Defence Force of the MAF made a farewell call to the Commander of the RBAF. On a separate session, Chief of Defence Force of the MAF also made a farewell call to Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof.

    During their discussions, General Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Panglima Mohammad expressed his deep appreciation for the support and collaboration extended by the RBAF, which has been instrumental in fortifying the close ties between the two armed forces and reaffirmed the MAF’s commitment to further enhancing this cooperation. He also expressed gratitude for the strong bonds and collaborative efforts established throughout his tenure.

    As the 22nd Chief of Defence Force of the MAF, General Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Panglima Mohammad will conclude his service and officially hand over his duties on Friday, 31st January 2025.
