Farewell visit from Indonesian Ambassador

Legislative Council (LegCo) Speaker Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib received a farewell visit from Ambassador of Indonesia to Brunei Darussalam Dr Sujatmiko on Thursday at the Department of Councils of State.

Also present was Secretary to the Cabinet Ministers’ Council and Clerk to the LegCo Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Haji Judin bin Haji Asar.

Both sides expressed appreciation on the bilateral relations and highest appreciation for the good cooperation throughout the ambassador’s tenure.

Mutual interest matters such as trade, investment opportunities and food security were also discussed.

The close relationship between the two countries, especially the management of human resources to help the country in sports, such as bringing in coaches to train and guide the country’s athletes was also discussed.

The ambassador also congratulated the newly appointed members of the LegCo and wished success for the LegCo meeting that will take place in the near future. Both sides hope that the good relationship will continue and become stronger.
