In commemoration of Maulidur Rasul, the extended family of the late Haji Tunjang bin Abdul Rashid and Hajah Mahani binti Haji Abdul Razak, known as the HMHT Family, organised a religious gathering at Parkview Hotel in Jerudong on September 28. The ceremony included religious activities including Khatam Al-Quran, Tahlil, Dikir and Doa Kesyukuran.
The family also honoured accomplished members who recently graduated from higher education institutions.
The oldest member of the family Haji Salim bin Abdul Rashid presented congratulatory gifts to seven family members who completed their studies.
They included two PhD graduates: Dr Haji Azrin bin Haji Tunjang and Dr Hajah Rafizah binti Haji Abdullah. Other family members, Khoshibah binti Kifli, Md Hazmi bin Md Yahya, Suhailah binti Haji Md Jaafar, Md Aleyman bin Haji Suhaili, and Abdul Akif bin Abdul Karim were also recognised for their academic excellence. The gathering also included a birthday celebration.
The highlight of the event was the family surprising Mohammad bin Haji Tunjang and his spouse with an Umrah pilgrimage package to Makkah.
Mohammad expressed that the family strives to organise gatherings throughout the year to maintain strong family ties and strengthen bonds among family members, especially the younger generations. – Lyna Mohamad
