Some 167 participants recently joined a family day at Muara Beach organised by a group of third year students from Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Institute of Health Sciences (PAPRSB IHS) at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), known as CHEER Brunei, in collaboration with the Down Syndrome Association (ABLE) Brunei.

PAPRSB IHS Deputy Dean Pengiran Dr Hajah Nurolaini binti Pengiran Haji Muhd Kifli attending the event, expressed support for fostering inclusivity and awareness for individuals with Down syndrome.

The festivities included a zumba session and a variety of activities, including coconut bowling and a relay game.

A highlight of the day was the lucky draw, where Siti Nur Hikmatul Aini binti Md Sambri, an honorary member of ABLE Brunei, won the grand prize of a 50-inch smart TV.

The event served as a platform to strengthen community ties, and promote health, well-being and inclusivity. – Fadley Faisal
