The Meraih Barkah Group (KMB) recently held a family recreation activity, jointly organised with the Muslimah of Kampong Penanjong Mosque in Tutong District, to foster and strengthen ties among its members.
Meraih Barkah Group Head Hajah Florinda binti Haji Mejenis said the event was not only attended by members in the Tutong District, but also by members from Belait and Brunei-Muara districts.
The activity commenced with the recitation of Doa and Selawat for the freedom of Palestine.
Hajah Zunainah binti Haji Gunong from the Islamic Da’wah Centre delivered a tazkirah.
Sports activities and a charity bazaar were also held with the proceeds being channelled to the Palestine fund.
The KMB, an active volunteer body, is celebrating its 10th anniversary next year.
The group has organised several Ukhwah activities including travelling to Turkiye and performing Umrah.
The activities aim to instil a sense of togetherness, seek blessings from Allah the Almighty as well as serve as an example to the younger generation. – Rokiah Mahmud
