Fair promotes educational opportunities in UK

Bruneians looking to further their studies in the United Kingdom (UK) attended The Study UK Fair 2025 which opened yesterday following an officiating ceremony by Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the Ministry of Education (MoE) Dr Haji Azman bin Ahmad and Charge d’Affaires of the British High Commission in Brunei Darussalam Catherine Pochkhanavala-Cleeve.

In her welcoming remarks, the Charge d’Affaires emphasised the global recognition of the UK education system, encouraging students to make the most of the opportunity to engage with representatives from leading UK universities. “The UK offers world-class educational opportunities that provide students not only academic excellence but also lifelong skills and experiences,” said Pochkhanavala-Cleeve.

“The event serves as an important platform for Bruneian students to explore their options and make informed decisions about their future.”

Following the launch of the fair at the Indera Kayangan Ballroom at The Empire Brunei, Dr Haji Azman and Pochkhanavala-Cleeve toured the fair featuring 24 renowned UK universities, alongside local institutions. The students and their families had the chance to engage with university representatives, learn about a variety of study programmes and explore scholarship opportunities. – James Kon
