I have been seeing more and more speed humps having faded markings. With rain being a nightly occurrence these days, it has made an already challenging situation worse for motorists.
While certain areas are blessed with regularly touch-ups, others are heavily neglected to the point where amid heavy downpours, the drivers have no choice but to play a game of ‘guess where the speed humps are’. For those unfamiliar with an area, it becomes more problematic, as some residential areas have more speed humps than others. There may be three in a 300-metre stretch, which if the driver is unaware, may lead to a serious accident.
I hope the authorities could repaint these speed humps soon. In the current weather condition, where we are experiencing a lot of nocturnal thunderstorms, it is better to be safe than sorry.
