The Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) yesterday signed memorandum of understandings (MoUs) with several companies interested in becoming vendors with the association.
FABD signed MoUs with Oris Sdn Bhd, Pan Bright Travel Services Sdn Bhd, TruFitness-Harun Gym; Arrowtech Sports Brunei; Kelme Sports; Nimanja Inc Sdn Bhd; and HiTUNES Universal Services during a ceremony at FABD House.
FABD President Haji Feisal bin Haji Eusoff Patail said that the signings represented a milestone achievement where the association has gained the trust of the private sector.
The MoU signings were part of a ceremony marking the first hundred days of the FABD 2024-2028 committee’s leadership.
“We started our work as the new leaders of FABD by facing challenges in efforts to improve the situation left by the previous management,” said the FABD president.
“Through persistence and an a spirit of not giving up, FABD is able to move forward and make significant achievements and developments,” he said.
The FABD president noted that one proud moment was when the national football team won an international match for the first time in 65 years, when they defeated the Vanuatu National Team 3-2 in a friendly in March.
He noted the victory has a positive impact, driving forward the development and progress of the country’s football.
The president said that they are also preparing to sign an MoU with the Saudi Arabian Footbal Federation for cooperation in various areas.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof and Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad were present at the ceremony. – Fadhil Yunus
