FABD looks to ministry for boost in football development

The Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) is stepping up its efforts to change the football landscape in the Sultanate. The efforts include seeking support and cooperation from stakeholders.

President of FABD Haji Feisal bin Haji Eusoff Patail said this during a courtesy visit to Minister of Education Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh yesterday.

Haji Feisal said the Ministry of Education (MoE) is important in helping FABD move forward, particularly in providing human resources, infrastructure such as fields and halls for football and futsal training and matches.

The president said FABD intends to maintain fields used by football clubs and also requested data of underprivileged male students for assistance by the association through its grassroots programme funding.

FABD is also requesting a lenient school leave policy for students selected to represent the national squad.
