Thirty local entrepreneurs from the agriculture, fisheries, agrifood, food and beverage sectors attended the Souq Tani expo and entrepreneurship programme from August 22-25 at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Sinaut Campus, Tutong District.
Among the entrepreneurs were Ghanim International Corporation Sdn Bhd; InnovAero Sdn Bhd; Fatih Aquaculture; MoriFarm; Agro Light; Eco Pulse; and Ibnu Anwari Enterprise.
The event in conjunction with the 13th UNISSA Mahrajan Hafl Al-Takharruj, was organised for the first time by the Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Agriculture Students’ Society (FASS) to open a space for entrepreneurs in the agricultural and food and beverage industries to display and sell their products.
UNISSA Rector Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal interacted with the entrepreneurs.
The programme also opens networking opportunities between students, especially those from the Faculty of Agriculture, with the entrepreneurs to share views, best practices and guidance on the agriculture and fisheries industry as well as a platform for students to enrol in the field of entrepreneurship and increase their self-potential. – Azlan Othman
