Scientists who worked on projects from NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA) were hosted by Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) to share their experiences and knowledge in a public talk at the Pro Chancellor Arts Centre recently.
The scientists included Professor Jani Radebaugh, Dr Anezina Solomonidou and Dr Rosaly Lopes. Their work encompasses multiple projects under NASA and the ESA, including the Cassini and Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (Juice) missions.
During the talk on ‘Shaping a Sustainable Future for Humanity’, they shared experiences and latest research on the outer solar system and provided insights into the exploration of Jupiter, Saturn and their moons.
The speakers also took questions from the attendees and discussed various aspects of space exploration, sustainability and the potential for future missions.
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications Ir Haji Muhammad Nazri bin Haji Muhammad Yusof was the guest of honour.
Ambassador of France to Brunei Darussalam Bernard Regnauld-Fabre and the Vice-Chancellor of UBD Dr Hazri bin Haji Kifle was also present.
