(ANN/KOREA HERALD) – Kai, a member of K-pop sensation EXO, has officially completed his mandatory military service, his agency SM Entertainment confirmed on Monday.
The singer and dancer enlisted in May 2023 as a social service agent, surprising fans with the announcement just a week before his departure. At the time, Kai admitted that the sudden enlistment was unexpected for him as well.

His return has reignited anticipation for EXO’s long-awaited full-group comeback. Due to his enlistment, Kai was unable to participate in the group’s 2023 promotions for their album Exist.
With Sehun, the youngest member, now the only one still serving, fans are eagerly counting down to his discharge in September. Meanwhile, EXO’s members have reassured fans through concerts and interviews that they will reunite for group activities this year.
